Project Highlights

Using rapid prototyping  techniques the  tooling was ready in 2 weeks. The same tooling was later able to qualified for production use saving the customer time and expense of additional tooling.

A complex set of interlocking cores were developed to form intricate interior features and thin wall sections of the casting. This, combined with precision dry sand molding produced near net shape castings. The result was an estimated a 30 percent reduction in machining time.
