Foundry Metal Finisher

Perform various tasks to include making sand molds.
Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Possessor ability to learncasting cleaning / finishing of aluminum castings using:
Disc grinders, belt grinders, hand-held pneumatic grinders / sanders, band saws, die grinders. TIG welding a plus.
Ability to follow process plans and communicate process issues.
Ability to see problems / determine defects and communicate any issues.
Follow oral and written instructions and or directions given by supervisor to complete assigned work projects.
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems.
Work as a team within department and with other departments and leads
Ensure work area is kept clean and safe.
Other duties may be assigned as needed this is not a complete list
On the job training is provided to acquire skill sets in various jobs. People may find a niche in one or more specific foundry operations as we do not expect you to learn all the processes.
Requirements:
Be on time and ready to work. Willingness to learn new skills.
Work Environment:
Typical manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and sand. Eye protection and hearing protection is a must.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
Physical capacity to properly handle castings and tools.
