Manual Machine Sand Molder / Aluminum Foundry

Location: Duvall, WA 98019
Learn and efficiently build “green sand” molds and “dry sand” molds. Perform various tasks to include making molds, setting sand cores into molds, operating PLC controlled Mullor to make molding sand, performing preventative maintenance on system, pouring aluminum into molds, making cores and other foundry tasks. Below is a representation of what is expected.
Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess or ability to learn “green sand” and “dry sand” molding processes using machines and tools. The system is PLC (Programable Process Controlled) Easy to learn and understand and we will train you to build “green sand” molds, “dry sand” molds and make molding sand using PLC controls on sand mullor.
Ability to follow process plans and communicate process issues.
Ability to see problems / determine defects and communicate any issues.
Follow oral and written instructions and or directions given by supervisor to complete assigned work projects.
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems.
Work as a team within the department and with other departments and leads.
Ensure the work area is kept clean and safe.
Other duties may be assigned as needed this is not a complete list.
On the job training is provided to acquire skill sets in various jobs.
Requirements:
Be on time and ready to work. Willingness to learn new skills and work.
Work Environment:
Typical manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and sand. Eye protection and hearing protection is a must.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
Physical capacity to properly handle tooling and molds.

Rate of compensation DOE $20 to $30 / hour. Dependent on skills learned and production levels achieved.
